Welcome to Shawman Plant & Equipment Services Ltd - we are a comparatively new company built on a wealth of experience.

I have spent the last 26 years servicing the Quarry, Demolition and Recycling Industry, primarily supplying parts and engines for crushers, screens, washing plants etc. It is through the numerous contacts I made during this period that from time to time, I am in the position to buy quality used plant, which we can supply on site or refurbish.

However, a couple of years ago I decided to have a change and diverse a little. Since I met my wife (28 years ago) she has always kept horses. Originally she only had her own but then about 4 years ago, she left her job and set up as a livery, providing care for retired horses or horses in need of rehabilitation. As her company grew, we found we were in need of various pieces of equipment to help with looking after the horses and the land. 

 

What we found when we started looking for things like Mowers, Tractors, Tipping Trailers and so on, that it seemed to be only the extremes that were available. On one hand, there was the new, as new or 'done very little' and the price reflected it. On the other end was the 'basket cases' where the equipment was held together by will power or rust. There didn't seem to be much in the middle ground. So, I ended up buying a few bits of equipment that 'needed work'. In the case of a Flail Mower, a new home was built. A Leyland Tractor; brakes, hydraulics and steering sorted.

It was by doing this I realised I could repair a lot of equipment and make it functional and reliable without breaking the bank and then be able to offer it for sale at a reasonable price and still make a reasonable profit. And so it began.

These are not restored or renovated machines, just repaired to a standard where equipment does what it's supposed to do and is reliable. Please view what we have available.
